This ride is only open to members of the Wirral Cycling Group.  If you are an experienced rider who has ridden with other cycling groups and would like to join us on a ride, then please get in touch with us via the <Contact Form> so we can make arrangements.  If you have not ridden with a cycling group before, and would like to find out what riding with our group is like, then please book onto one of our monthly rides for newcomers.

    This is a grade C ride, but a little longer than most at around 62 miles. Starting & finishing at Thornton Hough it will be lad by Andy Mace.  Please note the EARLY START TIME  of 8.45 so we can arrive at lunch stop by noon . It’s the Hideaway cafe at Farndon.

    The route is all on tarmac with lots of quiet country lanes.  There are a few short hills.

    Route to Farndon takes us via Burton Marshes, Higher Ferry, Pulford & Holt & is around 26 miles

    Following lunch route is longer at about 36 miles & takes us through Coddington, Tattenhall, Hoofield, Tarvin, Barrowmore & Ellesmere Port to Thornton Hough.  We pass Ellesmere Port & Hooton stations if you wish to leave here.

    My usual limit of up to 8 riders applies!!
